Large Indian Iguana-like lizard.

Ancient Indian warriors and thieves employed them in a novel manner to scale fort or house walls. Warriors would stealthily steal up to the enemy fort wall. Then putting a rope around a Goh's neck it was set climbing up the wall. The Goh's in order to escape from his captors would quickly and climb up the wall. As the Goh went over the ledge of the wall the warriors would tug at the rope forcing the Goh to take a firm hold with its strong-clawed legs. The lightest of the warriors would then scale the wall. Once on top he would, if need be, secure a stronger rope to allow other warriors to climb up.

Goh leather was also prized for its smoothness and comfort to touch hence its was used by warriors for shoes, belts etc.
